As we all know, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have a very common issue we call it Audio IC issue ( I already have fixed about 80 to 90 phones with this issue in Halifax). When you make a call, others cannot hear your speaking, and the phone wont work as speaker mode (speaker is grey). Another way to check whether your iPhone has Audio IC issue is to use the native ‘Voice memo’ app on your phone. If your phone has the issue, when you click to start ‘Voice memo’ app, either it does not respond at all or it prompts a ‘failed to start’ message on screen.
The reason for this issue is that some pads connecting the pins of audio IC chip on the motherboard are detached from the board. To fix the issue I need to wire the pad(s) to some resistors.
I recorded the video clip of the whole process fixing the audio IC issue. Please check it if you like.
