A customer from Truro brought his iPhone 6 to me today. He replaced the screen at a local cell shop, but he found his iPhone worked in a weird way after the replacement: the right bottom part of the screen can’t response any touch. One of his friend knows me cause I replaced the screen for his iPhone before. His friend let him call me to tell what the issue is with his phone. I was guessing the screen is defective and told him get a new screen replacement. But after the second replacement, the issue still existed. Finally he came to me with his phone.
I opened his iPhone and immediately found the real reason. The touch function flex cable connector on the motherboard was damaged as we can see from the picture.
Then things went through well since I already know where the issue is. I replaced the flex cable connector with a new one then tested it. Now it works fine.
Here is a picture after the replacement of the connector 🙂
